About Us

Here in the Big Stone office, looking out at the Sheffield industrial landscape, the 'hills' are some 20 minutes away, it would be easy to imagine that we sit at our computers day in day out, inputting data and moving paper about.

We do… but that doesn’t stop us from being passionate about the outdoors. Every weekend, spare time in the week and during holidays we will be out pulling hard on the limestone, mountain crags, laying siege to a new grit boulder problem, or getting some mileage in on Stanage.

We don’t always climb, however, and can often be found Downhill Mountain Biking, Trail Running or Orienteering in the Peak District, across the UK, Europe and North America. Whatever we do we try to use as much of our product as possible.

It all adds up to a very experienced team with a wide breadth of knowledge, which allows us to advise on all aspects of outdoor gear and outdoor business.
