Jenny

Former British Orienteering Champion I'm only just getting into climbing really and have yet to do much outdoors (come on summer!). Running is my main passion and I compete for Hallamshire Harriers, Dark Peak Fell Runners, South Yorkshire Orienteers and Vasteras Ski and Orienteering Klub (Sweden) in various disciplines. Most weekends I am running round a forest somewhere in the UK or Europe. Whilst out in Vancouver for the Arc'teryx S09 Sales Meet I competed in the Iron Knee trail race in Vancouver - 25km - and managed to take home the bronze medal! My next goal is the Swedish 5 Day orienteering event (O-ringen) to be held later this month in the mountains around Salen.

I joined the Big Stone staff last autumn and help Mo to run the office offering support to Mark and Andy especially when they're out of the office. I work Monday to Thursday and am usually the voice you hear if you give us a call.

Favourite Arcteryx products:

  • Stiletto Side Zip: for keeping warm after races this is great and it looks smart too, mine's in Raisin.
  • Accelero Pullover: having just taken delivery of a set of Arcteryx running gear this is the item which I won't take off. From jogging home from work to completing track sessions in the pouring rain it is just perfect - now I just need to get an ipod to make use of the earphones hole in the pocket!

Favourite 5.10 products:

  • Sirens: the perfect shoe for the relatively new climber - they give me extra confidence on the wall (and hopefully on the rock too) which I definitely need.
  • Monkey Tee: a nice looking cheeky tee which makes me feel like a sponsored climber (but not climb like one unfortunately).
